Many may remember several years ago the Hi Octane R32 GTR was largely unbeatable at most of the  events it entered in the hands of Mark Berry and Russell Newman, dominating the Dutton rally series against some seriously exotic vehicles, setting lap records around the country and culiminating in a trip to Tsukuba Japan where Mark ran a 59 second time despite only having medium compound tyres in freezing conditions

Hi Octane R34 GTR testing for World Time Attack 2010

I guess many of you have seen this youtube video already but no matter how many times I watch it it always gets me going. A few weeks out from the World Time Attack Challenge at Eastern Creek in May,most of the Australian teams were putting in some serious testing to try to tackle the foreign invaders, most of which carried a big reputation. Mark Berry was no exception in the Advan/Hi Octane Racing R34 GTR and when Andrew from Motive DVD got wind of him testing at Eastern Creek he headed out and captured this amazing footage. At the time the car was still plagued with intermittant AWD issues, and whilst this was slowing the vehicles development down dramatically it made for some awesome viewing as this video clearly shows!! One thing for sure we have never had a problem making horsepower and we offer exactly the same short engine for you to buy here  ENJOY!!!

Hi Octane-Advan R34. The quest to lap with the fastest in the world.

With World Time Attack 2010 now well and truly behind us we came away with a whole lot of data to commence the second phase of development of the Hi Octane/Advan GTR. And to be honest both ourselves, and I am sure just about anyone else that was Eastern Creek on May the 22nd was absolutely astonished at the blistering time set by the Cyber Evo of 1.30.58

Speedhunters Interviews Berry

Advan/Hi Octane Racing R32 GTR takes the outright win at Japanese Nationals Lakeside Raceway

With the Hi Octane Racing R34 GTR now in the shop for a serious makeover for WTAC 2011 Mark Berry was once again back in the driver’s seat of the infamous Hi Octane Racing R32 GTR that he raced at Tsukuba in 2007 and once again, he showed the competition a clean pair of heels taking the outright win, despite using semi slick tyres (ADVAN A050 R-Spec) and the competition being on full slick tyres, something that would normally be considered an unfair advantage.
