Behind the scenes, Hi Octane Performance Coatings

This is the first of our "behind the scenes" section that we will be bringing to you over the coming months. We will be visiting many of the manufacturers and suppliers of the performance brands that you all love but would never get a chance to see how the products are made. This series will run over the next few months but we figure we might as well kick it off in our own backyard with a tour of our ceramic coating plant.

Performance Coatings to Support Mazda Australia

Hi Octane Performance Coatings will once again be supporting Mazda Australia in their assault on the Australian Tarmac Championship. Headed up by Alan Horsely the factory Mazda racing team have provided us with very valuable data on temperature reductions of various under bonnet components.

Classy New Coatings

Here is just a small example of what we can do at Hi Octane Performance Coatings. The rocker covers are Red Candy over Cerama-chrome and the inlet manifold and compressor cover are in Ceramachrome rated to 700 degrees. The exhaust manifold and turbine housing are in satin black Turbo X rated to 100 degrees. Another WIN for Performance Coatings STi

With the owner/driver Jason Wright behind the wheel, the Ross Tuff Bond & Hi-Octane sponsored STi clocked a string of low 1.14's at RD8 CAMS SS Oran Park GP over the weekend, with a best time of 1.14.20 winning the day by over 1.2 seconds. First in class, first outright and new lap record for class!

The car is equipped with a Hi-Octane pulley kit and runs Hi-Octane's Hi-temp Performance coatings to help the engine to around 350kw.
